Khes Pattern

I’M BACK, BITCH.

A year ago, I received a scholarship to take an intermediate weaving class at the Textile Art Center (TAC) in Brooklyn. My instructor was the incredibly talented Jessie Mordine Young. In the class, I recreated the pattern from my paternal grandmother’s Khes on Treadl and tested it out an 8-shaft Schacht Baby Wolf Loom.

Here’s the pattern. I am sharing it because the whole point of this endeavor was to keep these fiber arts alive. Feel free to use and share the pattern. Photos of my finished textile coming soon.
